Wintertime Nor’easters are well known across New England and along much of the U.S. East Coast for the heavy precipitation and high winds they produce, but what exactly makes them as intense as they are and what are the driving forces behind these intense storms? Brian Whitley, Operations Manager at Weather Routing Inc. (WRI) will discuss Nor’easters, explaining how they form, and their normal tracks as they relate to features both at the surface and aloft. The talk will run approximately 20 minutes in length, with a question and answer session immediately following.
A $20 donation is requested. A Zoom link will be emailed to you. If you prefer to register without making a donation please email sailmv.
